Gibraltar eyes UK travel green list after six weeks without new resident cases 4th May 2021 Gibraltar has recorded nearly six weeks without any new cases of Covid-19 among residents, as expectation grows that the Rock’s tourism sector will spring back to life this summer after a difficult year. According to the Gibraltar Government’s data, the last positive resident case of the virus was detected on March 23. By April 8, that person had recovered and there were no active resident cases on the Rock. That has remained the case since then, although some cases were detected after that date in seafarers on board vessels in the Bay of Gibraltar.

Wesley Community Center, Los Barrios de Amarillo, look back on impact

With a combined 120 years of service, officials with the Amarillo Wesley Community Center and Los Barrios de Amarillo are looking back on the impact the organizations have made for not only the Barrio neighborhood, but on the city of Amarillo as a whole.  According to a news release from the organizations, the Wesley Community Center is celebrating its 70th birthday this year, while Los Barrios de Amarillo is celebrating its 50th anniversary.  “This anniversary makes us extremely proud and grateful. For the past decades, (the Wesley Community Center) and (Los Barrios de Amarillo) has stood the test of time,” the release read. “We have tackled issues on social justice, mental health, education, poverty, accessibility and more.”
