The fruit business of Cai Tianbao, a Chinese businessman in Davao City in the southern Philippines, has been booming recently. Cai has been managing a tropical fruit plantation in Mindanao, Philippines since 2003. As the holiday ramped up, over 30 containers of tropical fruits were sent to China every week, among which bananas and pineapples were the most popular. He said that China s demand continues to be strong and he believes that business will be better this year.
