Laredo CBP Officers Seize Hard Narcotics Worth Over $6 4 Million

Vrayan Jonatan Romero Mier, 25, was charged with import and conspire to import heroin. He arrived at the bridge on Saturday driving a 2006 Toyota Rav4. Romero Mier was referred to secondary inspection following a computer-generated alert, states an arrest affidavit.

A 2003 Ford truck hauling a shipment of plastic household articles arrived at the bridge on Wednesday. The vehicle was referred for K-9 and X-ray inspection. This resulted in the discovery of 661 packages within the shipment. The packages contained 709 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $141,799.
