Despite a population demographic of over 95% Hispanic residents and just slightly over 1% each of multiple other races, cultural diversity in Laredo is slim. However, during Black History Month, a TAMIU diversity committee highlights how the world is globalizing and the opportunities the city has to learn more about cultures outside of its own.
