History Spotlight: The Old Courthouse Larry Michaels and Krista Michaels Columnists Aerial above Old Courthouse, looking south, 1920s This early aerial view (notice wing of plane at far left) looks south toward the old Municipal Building in Fremont, Birchard Library and the original 1909 section of Ross High School at the top along Croghan Street. The old courthouse, moved there about 1830, is right in the middle of the picture with its two later pitched-roof additions. Notice the old cars on Arch Street at the left and the trees then on Justice Street. Amazingly, most of these old buildings still stand a century later.
