Over this past semester, there has been extensive on-campus testing of individuals at Illinois State University to ensure their and everyone else’s safety as the semester progressed. Lately, there has been discussion regarding whether students will be required to get tested prior to the spring 2021 semester beginning or upon their arrival to campus. The details about what exactly will occur and how the school will combat the virus with tests has been the priority of administrators and staff alongside ISU President Larry Dietz. During the Board of Trustees meeting in mid-October, administrators conversed about the available options and what direction may be best to take.
