The popular country music festival WE Fest is making some upgrades ahead of the 2021 event.
Now under the ownership of Live Nation, which bought it in 2019, the 37th WE Fest Country Music Festival is scheduled for Aug. 5-7 at Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit Lakes.
But festival-goers heading to the ranch this year will notice some improvements.

Among the chances event organizers are making to the ranch:
The general admission area will be larger and 200 feet closer to the main stage, giving attendees more room to spread out and they ll be able to see the stage better, organizers say.
Singer-songwriter Adam Doleac will replace Heath Sanders as the headlining act for Saturday night's first installment of the Baxter Summer Concert Series. The
Summertime music and events return to downtown Mountain Home beginning this weekend.
The Summer on the Square Festival will be held from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday on the courthouse square. The event includes food vendors, kids activities, craft booths and more.
The Baxter Summer Concert Series also kicks off this weekend, with Heath Sanders, Lily Rose and Jackson Dean taking the Farmers and Merchants Bank Stage at Hickory Park Saturday night. Admission to the show is free, with attendees encouraged to bring their lawn chairs.
Park gates will open at 6 Saturday night with live music beginning at 7.
The Summer Concert Series is Mountain Home’s marquee outdoor music program, featuring regional and national acts performing for free at Hickory Park.
