Classical pianist, custom cabinet maker fights to recover after severing hand

ATLANTA Larry Austin, a classically trained pianist, started playing piano when he was 4 years old. The Loganville man has always worked with his hands and opened his custom cabinet business 42 years ago.
Last summer, Austin sliced his middle finger, pointer finger and thumb clean off his hand while working in his shop.
Austin said nothing is going to stop him from getting back to his everyday life.

Zachary Kier sentenced in hit and run crash that injured couple in Marysville

CASE UPDATE December 15, 2020 - Zachary Kier was sentenced last week to serve 6 and a half years in prison for the hit and run crash in 2019 that severely injured a couple as well as a passenger in his own vehicle. He was also ordered to undergo 18 months of supervision by the Department of Corrections once he is released.
Kier pleaded guilty in Snohomish County court to all four charges against him:
