One week after flooding, Walleye Festival bounces back to boost businesses, community

PORT CLINTON, Ohio What a difference a week makes! Last Saturday, Waterworks Park in Port Clinton was filled with water after a heavy rain, forcing the annual Walleye festival to be postponed.
But now, people have been filling the park this weekend like it never happened.

The runway show also includes the latest looks from the fall-winter collections of Camilla, Max Mara, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Versace.
The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe again serves as the historic venue for this annual fall fête, dedicated to fashion and fundraising. Honorary chairs are Les and Deborah Cross, recognized for their extraordinary 14-year commitment to the organization. Grand Rapids Business Journal Students in Northwood University’s entrepreneurship administration program get to know each other quite well. They have to, because the university takes a nontraditional approach to instruction by grouping 20-person cohorts that move together through the master’s degree program at DeVos Graduate School. The instructors change, but their classmates do not during the two-year program. The program is designed to give students a feel for a “real world” business environment. “Our students are more able to get into a small business and kind of run that business as if it is their own, because they have that spirit to be that business owner themselves,” said Laura White, graduate admissions adviser.
