Man shot to death in DeLand, deputies say

Spokesperson Laura Williams said deputies were called to the 600 block of West Ida Avenue for a shooting. Detectives learned a man was parked in a vehicle when several people with their faces covered approached and started shooting. The man ran from the vehicle, but was shot several times and died at the scene, Williams said.

Sedgemoor Crematorium launches fundraising tribute to Captain Tom st birthday on 30 April. Westerleigh Group, the UK’s largest independent owner and operator of crematoria and cemeteries, including Sedgemoor Crematorium, is challenging staff at its 35 sites nationwide, to come up with creative ways of supporting the Captain Tom Foundation. The group has also set up a Just Giving page and is inviting anyone from the communities served by them to pay their own tribute to Sir Tom by donating, perhaps in memory of their own loved ones. The team at Sedgemoor Crematorium is going to walk 101 laps of their site, a total distance of more than 50 miles, as their contribution towards the fund-raising effort.

Staff from Kellogg s factory make huge donation to good causes in Wrexham

A WREXHAM cereal factory has made a number of cereal donations in support of local charities and organisations. Over 500kgs of cereal were distributed between eight different causes chosen by the employees at Kellogg’s, based on Bryn Lane. Dynamic, Yellow & Blue Project, Homestead Children’s Breakfast Club Nursery, Stansty Nursing Home and the Children’s Ward Nurses at Wrexham Maelor Hospital were all selected to receive food donations as they are groups close to colleagues’ own hearts. Laura Williams, Charity Manager at Dynamic, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Kellogg’s Wrexham for the kind and generous donations of cereal and snacks to Dynamic Centre for Children and Young People with Disabilities.
