KARLSTAD, Minn. A nursing home in the northern Red River Valley was in need of help from the Minnesota National Guard after a dozen staff members had to quarantine.
Karlstad Senior Living in Kittson County typically has about 40 staff members working in a given week. In late November, twelve of them either got COVID-19 or became close contacts, cutting out about a third of their workers.
