Down Barn Road at its junction with the A345 A MAN has been disqualified for just under three years and given a suspended prison sentence after causing a crash on the A345 last year. Jake Harris, 27, of Tempest Road, Amesbury, pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicle taking without consent, driving while disqualified, careless driving and driving without insurance. Harris also pleaded guilty to another count of vehicle without consent to an offence that occurred on May 18 last year. Harris was sentenced yesterday (Thursday May 27) to 12 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months, disqualified for driving for 35 months and fined £963 as well as costs and ordered to engage in a rehabilitation programme.
