However, Frankfort residents are concerned after a recent meeting about the project discussed the destruction of a berm and clearing of trees, which nearby residents say protect their homes from noise and safety concerns. According to the project website, the Laraway Road project is currently in phase 1, the planning phase, which is set to be completed in mid-2021. Phase II, design, will begin in late 2021, and phase III, construction, isn t expected to begin until 2025. Laraway Road is under the jurisdiction of the Will County Department of Transportation.

Winchester Center MBTA demo project to last until mid-May

These were some of the highlights regarding the Winchester Center station demolition work and accessibility improvements that were discussed during a virtual public hearing on Feb. 23 with the MBTA and the town of Winchester. The project began about a decade ago and reaching the construction phase is a major milestone, according to State Sen. Jason Lewis, who attended the hearing. “This has been a long and arduous process to bring us to this point in time,” he said. “It’s a very challenging project given the location of the station, squeezed right in of course to Winchester’s downtown. There’s a lot that needs to be done to approve this station.”

Exeter acquired Laraway Distribution Center from Clarion Partners for roughly $45 million. Colliers International’s Jeff Devine and Steve Disse represented the seller, and announced the deal. Built in 2008, the Class A Laraway warehouse is located at 1151 East Laraway Road. It encompasses 34 acres and is fully leased to three tenants. Distribution centers have been a hot commodity during the pandemic as e-commerce sales have surged. Companies like Amazon and others have leased and acquired last-mile facilities and other industrial properties statewide and across the country.
