Amid a pandemic that has placed the challenges facing long-term care in focus, Brockville’s Sherwood Park Manor wants to expand.
The non-profit long-term care facility just east of Brockville’s boundary announced Tuesday it has hired consultants to work on a proposal for expansion.

If approved, the plan would see 21 new beds added to the site. While he hesitated to provide a cost estimate at such an early stage, manor administrator Alfred O’Rourke suggested the project could cost in the range of $30 million to $35 million.
