Positive test rate remains above 14 percent
The number of active COVID-19 (coronavirus) cases has dipped to below 75, and the positive test rate remains above 14 percent.
According to the Barry County Health Department and Barry County Office of Emergency Management, there have been 2,915 (+70) confirmed positive cases of COVID-19.
As of Feb. 3, a total of 73 (-29 from Jan. 27) people were considered active cases in isolation, and five are hospitalized (+1). There are more than 200 close contacts (-100) quarantined in their homes.
No new deaths occurred this week. The total number of deaths in the county is 48, and all those who have died were at least 41 years old.
