POTSDAM â St. Lawrence Health System is recognizing it staff during National Health System Week.
âItâs been well over a year since we were first introduced to COVID-19 and started seeing direct effects in our personal lives, jobs, and in in our communities,â SLH President David Acker said in a prepared statement. âThrough it all, I have been proud to see how, once again, the St. Lawrence Health culture has brought us together during a time of crisis.â
Mr. Acker said, Health System Week provides the perfect opportunity to thank the entire SLH staff, along with patients and the residents in the communities it serves.
POTSDAM â As part of Nurses Week, St. Lawrence Health is recognizing its nurses at Canton-Potsdam, Gouverneur and Massena hospitals.
Nurses are often the people patients see the most when they are in the hospital; creating a strong bond of trust between them.
âNurses are a sounding board for our patientsâ concerns, worries, and hopes, and they are the eyes and ears for our providers,â St. Lawrence Health Systems Senior VP of Nursing and Quality, and Canton-Potsdam Hospital Chief Nursing Officer Jan Carroll said.
SLH has a united nursing team that looks out for each other by covering shifts, celebrating each otherâs milestones, and being compassionate listeners during the difficult times, the hospital said in a press release.
