Active COVID cases in SLC rise to 102; 19 new cases reported Friday

Friday, May 14, 2021 - 4:02 pm St. Lawrence County Public Health Department officials say there were 19 new cases of COVID-19 reported in the county on Friday, May 14. There are 102 active cases with one of them hospitalized. Go to https://www.stlawco.org/covid-19-daily-update-center to check out the COVID-19 Cases by Town map layouts. Public Health will also post the maps on their Facebook page, @SLCPublicHealth. Health officials said 7,142 cases have been released from isolation and 96 have died of the illness. County hospitals have performed 319,007 tests for COVID-19 as of Thursday, the most recent date for which data was available. So far, there have been a total of 7,340 confirmed coronavirus cases in St. Lawrence County.

St Lawrence Health System recognizes staff, community

POTSDAM — St. Lawrence Health System is recognizing it staff during National Health System Week. “It’s been well over a year since we were first introduced to COVID-19 and started seeing direct effects in our personal lives, jobs, and in in our communities,” SLH President David Acker said in a prepared statement. “Through it all, I have been proud to see how, once again, the St. Lawrence Health culture has brought us together during a time of crisis.” Mr. Acker said, Health System Week provides the perfect opportunity to thank the entire SLH staff, along with patients and the residents in the communities it serves.

14 new cases of COVID-19 in St Lawrence County on Tuesday

County hospitals have performed 315,313 tests for COVID-19 as of Monday, the most recent date for which data was available. So far, there have been a total of 7,291 confirmed coronavirus cases in St. Lawrence County.

St Lawrence Health System sponsoring blood drive Wednesday in Massena

Monday, May 10, 2021 - 5:55 am MASSENA - St. Lawrence Health System is sponsoring a blood drive through the Adirondack Regional Blood Center on Wednesday, May 12 at the Massena Community Center, 61 Beach St. Walk-ins accepted from 12:15-2:45 p.m. Donors must be healthy, at least 16 years of age, and weigh at least 110 pounds. Advanced registration is not required; however, donors are asked to wear a mask and provide identification. COVID-19 screening will be conducted upon entry.
