A family is still searching for answers after a Covington, Georgia native s car was found in Cartersville days after he was reported missing, as authorities presume him dead. The case has raised dozens of questions and spans three different states: Kentucky, Tennessee, and Georgia.  Authorities said 20-year-old Justin Sawyer was reported missing from Clarkesville, Tenn. where he had been living on Dec. 17, 2020, according to a Kentucky State Police report.

Friends, neighbors and strangers alike were ready to help with the search for the remains of the 20-year-old, who went missing Dec. 17 and is suspected to have been killed as part of a robbery gone wrong. One of the searchers found a blanket that volunteers hope might bring clues to the body’s location. The search party was coordinated on short notice. It was announced Wednesday by Sawyer’s aunt, Angela Belcher, after police investigators revealed they had exhausted their leads.

(KAIT) - Dozens of teachers from both Westside and Nettleton School Districts filled the gym at Fellowship Jonesboro Thursday, all of them lining up to receive the COVID vaccine. This comes days after Jonesboro pharmacies were delayed in beginning Phase 1-B of the state’s vaccine rollout plan. Woodsprings Pharmacy received their doses Tuesday, with 975 vaccines distributed between five pharmacies. Lacey Hoggard, Operations Manager at Woodsprings, says the pharmacy was glad to help teachers and those over 70 when the vaccines started to roll in.
