Mortgages for Business has promoted sales director Gavin Richardson
(pictured) to become its new chief operating officer, as current managing director Steve Olejnik begins a phased retirement from the specialist buy-to-let broker.
The announcement follows the news that sister company Keystone Property Finance has promoted its chief operations officer of twelve months, Elise Coole, to the role of managing director.
The move gives David Whittaker, the chief executive of parent company The Property Business Group, time to dedicate to managing an orderly transition at the brokerage according to the company.
As chief operating officer, Richardson will be responsible for all regulated, commercial and buy-to-let mortgage activity within the business.

The homeless man sitting with his dog on a cold December night in Sidmouth must have thought it miraculous when a passing stranger dropped a roll of £20 banknotes in his hat. The stranger didnât stop or say anything, just walked away. Even odder, every note had been marked with two letters: RH. The stranger wasnât acting out of Christmas charity but from a sense of righteousness: he saw himself as a 21st-century Robin Hood, duty-bound to rob the rich and give to the poor. To which end, a few hours before, heâd held up the Lloyds TSB bank branch in nearby Seaton and made off with nearly £5,000.
