Online reseller Lloyds Auctions is now accepting cryptocurrency payments allowing customers, for example, to buy either a toaster or a Tesla car. The reseller also has a dedicated hotline if customers have enquiries.
Lloyds Auctions claims it is now the first auction house in Australia to accept cryptocurrency payments. This allows bidders to buy anything from a toaster to a Tesla with crypto while the seller is still paid in Australian dollars.
“Within hours of offering cryptocurrency as a payment option, a one hundred-thousand-dollar custom-built caravan was paid for entirely by crypto. Since then, we have had quite a bit of interest on our upcoming classic cars and earthmoving machinery auctions,” recalls Lloyds Auctions chief operations officer Lee Hames.

Australia’s Oldest Farming & Trading Family Auction Almost 200 Years of History
The Estate of the Sloane Pastoral Family is going to auction, with the collection completely UNRESERVED offering bidders the opportunity to own historic treasures from a collection that captures early pieces of Australian History.
The Sloane brothers arrived in Victoria in the beginnings of the gold rush and realised their skills they acquired in the docks of Glasgow were easily transferred into the buying and selling of gold. With their fortunes rising the family went on to settle in Mulwala in 1862 as Sloane’s Mulwala Homestead which is now owned by the Commonwealth of Australia and is heritage listed.
