Join the Lloyd Center for the Environment for an exciting summer outdoors!
Animal collection, habitat investigations, and creature observation, are just a few of the activities offered through the 2021 Summer Programs. In its 40th season, the Lloyd Center s Summer Programs are designed to give motivated students an opportunity to explore different aspects of environmental science.
All sessions include field study, laboratory work, and fun! Member prices apply to those holding a current Family (or higher level) membership.
Age: for children ages 9 to 12 years old.

Driven by bankruptcies, redundancies and the rise of e-commerce, the retail sector has been in flux for years. COVID-19 accelerated the shift. Oregon’s malls can either reinvent themselves to stay vital or they can fail.
It is a late Tuesday afternoon and the foot traffic in Washington Square Mall in the Portland suburbs looks brisk by COVID-19 restrictions standards. Families with strollers and small children in tow, groups of teens just dismissed from distance learning and older couples stroll the wide halls, dropping their masks to sip a drink or lick an ice cream cone.

Thanks to Jono Armstrong and his amazing carpentry skills, the Lloyd Center’s Osprey logo is forever present on the Living Building Challenge™ Welcome Center. Donating his time and skills, Jono crafted an eight-foot logo onto the building. Stop by the Lloyd Center for the Environment (430 Potomska Road, Dartmouth) and check it out! It is beautiful!
