Billings Pub Station Loading Up Great Concerts for Summer

After a disastrous concert season in 2020, the live music scene around Billings appears to be picking up momentum as bands and musicians get back on the road. Artists are trying to make up for a ton of lost concert dates last year and fans of live music seem thirsty for live shows.  An estimated 7,100 people attended the recent Toby Keith concert at First Interstate Arena. Big festivals and outdoors show are coming back too.   While some major artists are sitting out the festival circuit this year (Motley Crue/Def Leppard/Poison moved to 2022), in Montana the Red Ants Pants Festival, Rockin the Rivers and Headwaters Country Jam are all back for 2021. The Pub Station is busy booking acts for the summer season too.

Bob Marshall Music Festival Tickets On Sale This Week

Bob Marshall Music Festival Tickets On Sale This Week Man, I love being able to talk about concerts again. For such a long time, every article I wrote about a concert was about either a postponement, a cancellation, an artist saying they weren t sure when they d be able to tour. and now, things are finally looking up. It looks like the Guns N Roses concert in Missoula is still happening (and at full capacity!), Under the Big Sky Music Festival just added an extra date, and Northern Quest Resort and Casino in Spokane is filling out their summer schedule nicely.

Music (and crowds) start a comeback beneath the Big Sky

Music (and crowds) start a comeback beneath the Big Sky Anna Paige BILLINGS Glowing blue against the stage lights, fans of Meg Gildehaus beamed with a special kind of delight, childlike almost, as they stood clustered in groups during the musician’s April 3 concert at the Pub Station. The concert was one in a series of socially-distanced performances that began in March. These concerts marked the first time the stage has been used since the pandemic forced the closure of the nation’s live entertainment venues more than a year ago. For Pub Station concerts, fans could purchase tickets in groups of four or six, and they were separated from others by metal fencing set in a U-shape. Such barriers, typically erected at the front of the stage to keep the massive crowds at bay, didn’t seem to matter when, after more than a year, a really loud rock concert was pumping through everyone’s bodies.
