Microsoft Gold Partner, Mannai Corporation launches dedicated unit
DOHA, 1 hours, 58 minutes ago Mannai Corporation, a Microsoft Gold partner has established a new division within its Information Systems business unit that will be dedicated to Microsoft solutions with the aim to accelerate the adoption of cloud technologies across Qatar, in line with the National Vision 2030. The move comes ahead of the launch of Microsoft’s new Qatar cloud region, expected to be available this year. According to IDC, spending on public cloud services in Qatar is expected to rise nearly fourfold, from approximately $60.4 million in 2019 to $228.6 million in 2024. The research also cites that continuous investments in cloud and digital transformation initiatives led by government and businesses in the country, are expected to generate $3.14 billion in net new revenues over the next four years.

The Minister of Transport and Communications H E Jassim bin Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti said the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC) is determined to place Qatar as a regional ICT hub and a destination for international investors by investing in cloud computing.
The Minister disclosed this during a virtual event hosted by the MoTC and Microsoft to celebrate the first anniversary of cloud migration via Microsoft Azure.
The Minister also announced the completion of construction and infrastructure for three data centers for Microsoft Azure that would begin operations in the first quarter of 2022, making Qatar the 55th Azure region in the world.
