Two Wounded in Opelousas Shooting Two people are in the hospital after an early morning shooting in Opelousas. Police Chief Martin McLendon says that shooting happened a few minutes before 3 a.m. on Park Avenue between Ina Claire and Mouton Streets. According to McLendon, officers found two victims when they arrived at the scene. One of the victims was shot in the chest. The other suffered what McLendon says is a non-life-threatening injury. Both were taken to the hospital. So far, police have not identified any suspects.
