CAIRO Violence between Israelis and Palestinians expanded in new directions on Friday, with deadly clashes convulsing the occupied West Bank and anti-Israeli protests erupting along Israel’s borders with two Arab neighbors.
The widening sense of mayhem in Israel and the Palestinian territories came as Israeli airstrikes brought mass evacuations and funerals to Gaza, and as Hamas rockets singed Israeli towns for a fifth consecutive day.

After the Israeli police clashed with Palestinian demonstrators in Jerusalem, Gaza militants fired rockets at Israel, leading to the most intense battle in the area since the war between Israel and the armed group Hamas that controls Gaza in 2014 A series of air strikes.
Subsequent conflicts between Arabs and Jews in other mixed-race cities in Israel, as well as the violent confrontation in the West Bank, added to the conflict, which has not been seen in more than two decades, especially in the Israeli town of Lod (Lod ), even if additional security forces were deployed, they experienced several nights of confrontation.

The US economic recovery showed signs of hitting some turbulence as shoppers curbed their spending last month and manufacturing slowed due to supply bottlenecks.
After a rush of shopping in March, US retail sales were flat in April, and while auto sales rose, vehicle production fell amid a global semiconductor supply crunch, according to government data released Friday.
Meanwhile, a private survey showed consumer confidence fell due to concerns about rising prices as the reopening of the world s largest economy drives speculation of a sustained rise in inflation.
Ilhan Omar Fires Back at Donald Trump for Support of Israel

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) on Tuesday lashed out at former U.S. President Donald Trump for his support of Israel, as the country fired rockets at Gaza in retaliation to Palestinian militants firing at Jerusalem and other parts of the country.
The attacks, the most intense in between the two sides in years, have left at least 36 people dead five Israelis and 31 Palestinians.
In a statement on Tuesday, Trump criticized President Joe Biden for being too soft on Israel s adversaries. The former president has long touted himself as Israel s best friend.
