Authorities say a man fatally shot his ex-wife s parents in an incident that sparked a manhunt in Sheridan, Illinois, prompting officials to warn residents to stay inside during the search. The LaSalle County Sheriff s Office said that at around 9:49 p.m., a woman called 911 to report that a man was beating on her front door and trying to get into her house on West Church Street in Sheridan. Authorities searching for suspect in multiple homicide case in LaSalle County

March 17, 2021 Sheridan Police Station – Studstill Media Photo SHERIDAN – A number of police agencies have been searching all early Wednesday morning for a suspect they say was involved in multiple homicides in LaSalle County.  The LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office say that the individual is believed to be in or near the community of Sheridan where the homicides occurred, and that all residents should be on the lookout for unknown individuals and to make sure all doors and buildings are locked.  A press conference is scheduled for later Wednesday morning. SHERIDAN, Ill. (WLS) A suspect is in custody after he allegedly shot and killed his former in-laws and threatened his ex-wife in Sheridan, a small town about 70 miles southwest of Chicago. Law enforcement officials urged some residents to stay inside early Wednesday morning before the 37-year-old suspect was arrested during a LaSalle County manhunt. Police say it all started Tuesday night, when a woman called 911 after her ex-husband tried to break into her home. Eventually, police say the suspect shot out her front windows. The woman was injured by the shattered glass.
