LONG HILL TWP. - A Gillette woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after striking a mailbox and parked car with her vehicle on Saturday, Nov. 28, on Old Forge Road in Millington. The woman, Sofia Tsampounieri, 28, was issued summonses for reckless driving, careless driving and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle in addition to the driving while intoxicated charge. She was arrested at about 6:49 p.m. and later released with a pending court date in Long Hill Township Municipal Court. In Other Police News: • Jose Sopalo-Yanez, 47, of Bernardsville was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop at about 9:49 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, on Valley Road in Millington. He was issued additional summonses for refusal to submit to breath tests, reckless driving, driving without a license, failure to produce a registration card, failure to provide proof of insurance and failure to keep right.
