The installation of a roundabout will lead to a trio of Rayleigh roads being off limits. Hullbridge Road, Rawreth Lane and Mortimer Road will be linked by a new roundabout which is set to be built over the next few months. However, the installation works, being undertaken by TDR Groundworks, will result in the three roads being temporarily closed. Motorists will be unable to proceed on Rawreth Lane between Hullbridge Road and Exmouth Drive, while Mortimer Road will be off limits between Hullbridge Road and Eastview Drive. The restrictions will be in place from May 12 for 38 days, potentially causing congestion.

A trial will take place of a man accused of causing the death of a 23-year-old Harwich man by dangerous driving.
Aironas Gzimaila died in a crash on the A120 between Ramsey and Parkeston in March 2018.
Mr Gzimaila, from Harwich, was driving a Ford Fiesta which collided with a Vauxhall Corsa.
He died at the scene.
Thomas Treadwell, 29, of Langdon Hills, Basildon, has pleaded not guilty to causing death by dangerous driving and his trial, which is expected to last eight days, will take place at Ipswich Crown Court on a date to be fixed.
