The Golden Eagles’ schedule, like the other Big East teams, features a 10-game, double round-robin for league play. It also has two non-conference games, starting with Independent Cleveland State on Feb. 13, then the ACC’s Notre Dame on March 17. Playing our BIG EAST counterparts twice as well as Cleveland State and Notre Dame should provide a challenging slate against some of the best teams in the country and we are excited to see the growth of our group over the last year, coach Andrew Stimmel said in a news release. We had a productive fall and the team is ready for the opportunity to lineup against a different colored jersey.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. The Patriot League has announced a plan for league schedules for baseball, field hockey, football, men s and women s lacrosse, men s and women s soccer, softball and volleyball during the 2021 spring semester. League play will be contingent on the league and its member institutions being able to conduct competitions in ways that protect the health and safety of student-athletes, coaches, staff members and their communities.
In addition to the nine sport spring schedules, the league has plans to host championships for men s and women s cross country, men s and women s golf, men s and women s outdoor track and field, women s rowing, men s and women s swimming and diving and men s and women s tennis. Competitive opportunities will also be available for men s and women s indoor track and field.

Amherst men’s lacrosse experienced its lowest point in the spring of 2020 after a series of team-involved incidents came to light. Leadership changes ensued and a 2021 postseason probation was levied.
Since May, when Rashad Devoe was hired to be the program’s next coach, he’s worked to redevelop the program’s culture. During the summer, a time when the country was grappling with the pandemic while simultaneously having conversations on social justice, Devoe has made moves to ensure Amherst’s commitment to being agents of change.
