Immigration installs information data analysis system to ease operation

Nigeria Immigration ServiceThe Nigeria Immigration Service has deployed the Migration Information Data Analysis System (MIDAS) to various commands of the service to ease operational activities. Comptroller of Immigration, Mr Bernard Zipamor, of the Seme Command, said this on Friday and has commended Mr Muhammed Babandede, Comptroller General of the Service for the feat. x Zipamor gave the commendation during a courtesy visit by executive members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Lagos Council, led by the Chairman, Mr Adeleye Ajayi, to him in Seme. He said that the NIS had the sole responsibility to control the movement of persons in and out of the country.

Dania’s appointment as the new Acting CRO, LASRO is with immediate effect. The approval was contained in a letter signed by the State Head of Service (HoS), Mr Hakeem Muri- Okunola. Dania until her new appointment, was the Deputy Chief Resilience Officer (DCRO) of the Agency, and her elevation to the new office was consequent upon the appointment of the erstwhile Chief Resilience Officer of the Agency, Arc. Lagos reiterates adoption of COVID-19 safety protocols in schools -

By Mary Obaebor IN a bid to prevent further spread of COVID-19 in the state as public and private schools have resumed academic activities, the Lagos State Government has reiterated that schools must adopt and strictly adhere to all safety precautionary and preventive protocols of the federal and Lagos state governments. The Director-General, Lagos State Office of Education Quality Assurance, Mrs. Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, who gave the warming, also advised both public and private school head teachers and administrators as well as parents to adopt prompt preventive measures to avert COVID-19 infection in schools. The DG who affirmmed the position of the state government on the matter, stated that health and safety guidelines which include the provision of soap, wash hand basin, alcohol-based hand sanitizers, thermometer and instructional safety signs, must be adhered to.
