LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) On Friday, June 11, 2021, deputies with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department arrested David Lee Swims for the murder of his wife, Anteeatta Swims.
Deputies were dispatched to 204 Spring Lake Cove in The Lakes subdivision for a welfare concern. Upon arrival and at the completion of the investigation, deputies arrested 41-year-old David Lee Swims for the murder of his wife, 36-year-old Anteeatta Archie Swims.
A Lafayette County man is in jail, charged with killing his wife on Friday in Oxford Mississippi, according to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department.
Platteville man killed in crash on Highway 151 near Mineral Point

TOWN OF KENDALL, Wis. A 60-year-old Platteville man was killed in a crash on Highway 151 near the Iowa County-Lafayette County line Monday afternoon.
The crash happened shortly after 4 p.m. at County Highway A near the county line. According to Lafayette County Sheriff Reg Gill, dispatchers received a call for a report of a two-vehicle crash with injuries in the Town of Kendall.
A preliminary investigation revealed a 22-year-old Waukesha woman was driving northbound when a van being driven by a 60-year-old Howard Mutert pulled out of a driveway. Officials said the woman was unable to avoid hitting the man’s vehicle.
