Some 70,000 Cubans receive Abdala s 1st dose against Covid-19
Havana, May 13 (Prensa Latina) Some 70,000 Cubans have already received the first dose of Abdala vaccine candidate against Covid-19, with which the health intervention began on Monday, informed the country s Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).
The process, which is being carried out in stages, is expected to reach some 400,000 Havana residents and includes at-risk groups, students of medical sciences, workers of the Biotechnological and Pharmaceutical Industries Group and the health sector of the whole country.
To that end, the intervention with Abdala started on Wednesday in the municipalities of Regla, Guanabacoa, Habana del Este and San Miguel del Padron.

1- The marginal conditions of some of our neighborhoods in Havana.
2-The lack of attention or delay in recognizing and using the Social Sciences.
3- In spite of Fidel’s early warning, having neglected, for a long time, the racial question.
4-Some deficiencies in our political-ideological work.
On the last three points, I have warned enough.
But as a result of my warnings, I was never called to the Round Table, and when the faces of its protagonists appear, mine is never there. In spite of having been, individually, among those who have attended the Round Table the most.

On February 24 the
Ordinary Official Gazette No. 20 published Agreement 8999/2021 of the Council of Ministers, which set down a new and comprehensive expansion of the Zones and Roads of Interest for the Security and Internal Order in Havana. The document, in short, guarantees draconian security in the area where Cuba s powerful elite usually lives, works and moves about.
It also creates a legal justification to quash any type of protest in front of ministries or state institutions.
The text mentions several districts and some specific roads in the capital that will become a sort of special or secure zones, controlled in an absolute manner by the Ministry of the Interior (MININT). These areas are: Siboney-Atabey, Cubanacán, La Coronela, Plaza, Vedado, Príncipe, Colón-Nuevo Vedado, Ceiba-Kholy, Vedado-Malecón, Sevillano, Tallapiedra and very specific roads in the municipalities of Marianao, La Lisa and Boyeros.
