Three arraigned on drug charges
When the city police officer approached the 2020 Mazda that he stopped near Park Avenue and Grier Street about 6:20 p.m. Friday, the driver Justin Simmonds “was visibly shaking and taking quick shallow breaths,” according to an affidavit.
The officer had already been told by a dispatcher that Simmonds and another person were in a Mazda and reportedly “transporting a large amount of methamphetamines to the 1200 block of Park,” very close to where the vehicle stop took place.
While talking, Simmonds, 38, of Tampa Florida, also “stuttered in his speech, showing how nervous he was,” the officer wrote in the court document.
Drug charges
PLEASANT GAP Man was allegedly found with marijuana at 604 199 North in Worth Township by Rockview Police at 7:56 a.m. on Wednesday.
After being pulled over for a traffic stop by Rockiew police, Jacob Walker, 31, of Reedsville was allegedly caught with a small amount of marijuana and related paraphernalia.
PFA violation
HOWARD Donald Kraft, 36, of Howard was charged with a PFA violation on Hunter Run Road in Liberty Township by Rockview Police at 11:13 p.m. by Rockview Police.
$9,000 scam
BLANCHARD A man was reportedly scammed out of over $9,000 by an unknown individual on Bald Eagle Forest Road in Liberty Township at 10:21 a.m. The victim was a 57 year old male from Blanchard.
