On Sunday a day after a shooting in Central City left two men dead two shootings were reported in Uptown neighborhoods.
Early Sunday (Feb. 21), a 39-year-old man was driving in the 2800 block of Roman Street when shots were fired at his car.
He was struck in the gunfire and drove himself to the emergency room. The shooting was reported to the NOPD at 2:52 a.m.
At 10:26 p.m. on Sunday, Sixth District officers were dispatched to the 3200 block of Loyola Avenue, where they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim, 38, was taken to the hospital by the Emergency Medical Service. The gunman fled on foot.
Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing Brunswick man Randall.
The 82-year-old was last seen at a care facility on Loyola Avenue, Brunswick on 20 February about 2.30pm.
Police and family hold concerns for Randall’s welfare due to his age.
Randall is of Pacific Islander / Maori appearance, approximately 162cm tall, with a medium build and short grey hair.
He was last seen wearing a blue cap, blue shirt, blue jeans and white runners.
Two photos of Randall have been released in the hope that it may lead to information on his current whereabouts.
Randall is known to frequent Melbourne CBD.
A 30-story apartment tower said to be the tallest building to be constructed in New Orleans in the last 30 years has opened its doors to residents.
“The Odeon” is the latest to join South Market, the mixed-use neighborhood that has been developed over the past few years by The Domain Companies.
The 414,000-square-foot apartment tower, located at the corner of Loyola Avenue and Girod Street, features 271 studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom market-rate units, 200 parking spaces and 12,000 square feet of retail space. There are 30,000 square feet of amenities such as a pool deck and outdoor lounge with fenced dog run, furnished guest suites, a fitness center and an art collection.
