While UDF is confident of retaining seat, LDF nominee banks on his bond with voters Ranging from the deep-sea fishing row to the delay in realising the Vizhinjam seaport and from the plight of the handloom weavers of Balaramapuram to the shortage of potable water along the coastal belt, a whole gamut of issues have come to the fore in the Kovalam Assembly constituency where electioneering has neared a finish.
On day two of season 20, the coaches settled in to hear more hopeful singers, including 19-year-old Gean Garcia, who is something of a musical legacy. I m very appreciative of the path my father has paved for me, said Gean, whose father, Juan, is a Latin Christian artist who has a large fanbase in South America, and with that I will make my own legacy.
Gean wowed the coaches by showing off an impressive range in his cover of Kodaline s All I Want Kelly Clarkson s jaw dropped when she saw the performer behind the falsetto but his talent did lead to some contentious moments on the panel, particularly, when Nick Jonas realized he had been blocked.

Panamanian gospel singer Jaime Murrell, who helped Latin America worship God in music that reflected the diversity of the region’s culture and history, died of COVID-19 on February 4. He was 71.
Murrell, along with American singer Marcos Witt and other pioneering worship leaders in Venezuela, Mexico, and Brazil, brought Caribbean styles and influences into worship music. His 2000 album
Prometo Amarte was nominated for the Dove Awards’ best Spanish-language album in 2001. He also contributed to
La Oracion de Jabes (the Prayer of Jabez) album, which was nominated for the same award in 2003. Today, Murrell’s music is sung in churches across Latin America.
