Former Tooting Constitutional Club goes on sale for £12mil

A brownfield site on Tooting High Street is set to become a hotel or residential development after being put on the market. The site has been unoccupied for around five years and is up for sale at a guide price of £12 million. Several derelict vacant buildings are available for purchase, notably the former Tooting Constitutional Club, which was established in 1917 as a ‘working man’s club.’ The outdoor space includes a large storage yard and bowling green. Commercial property advisor Colliers was instructed by LHG (London Hotel Group) to market the 0.2-hectare site. Wandsworth Council has granted planning permission for the construction of a 373-bedroom hotel around three to six storeys in height.
