It is not clear how these services can be provided when the route has not been finalised.

An extension of Canberra s light rail line that will transform parts of Civic by raising London Circuit has gained federal environmental approval, as the ACT Government mulls whether the line should be extended further south than initially announced.

Next week s ACT budget will include funding for design works on the changes as the Government pushes ahead with its two-stage plan to extend light rail from Civic to Woden Town Centre.

CANBERRA’S city streets will turn into a movie set for the filming of a potential Hollywood blockbuster.
But the excitement for the Liam Neeson-movie “Blacklight” will also cause a number of road and footpath closures and changes to public transport for several days.
Filming will take place on Thursday (January 14) and will continue through until possibly January 22.
The crux of the scenes to be shot are a number of car chases around Civic.
Crews started early on Thursday morning to direct commuter traffic around the locations.
Early onlookers on their way to work or shopping were caught watching the commotion and spotting a number of the stunt cars parked on city roads.

A thrilling car chase scene for new action movie Blacklight, starring Liam Neeson and written and directed by Ozark s Mark Williams, will be filmed in Canberra next week. It s going to be shot in the middle of the city, which is going to be interesting!, Screen Canberra chief executive Monica Penders said.
