MPD squad involved in crash near Fond du Lac and Roosevelt

MILWAUKEE - Police are investigating a crash that left multiple people injured near Fond du Lac Avenue and W. Roosevelt Drive around 2 a.m. Sunday.
A marked squad with two officers and a prisoner was facing east on W. Fond du Lac sitting at the stoplight when a vehicle containing five women traveling southwest through the intersection of Fond du lac and Roosevelt, lost control and struck the squad car.
The accident is alcohol-related, according to police.
Everyone involved in the crash was taken to the hospital and expected to survive, police say.

Milwaukee’s record-setting year for homicides continued to see this number increase during the Christmas holiday. Police say they responded to at least four shootings within a 14 hour period.
The one fatal shooting took place just after 10 p.m. on Thursday, December 24, 2020 on the 1200 block of Singer Circle. A 48-year-old man reportedly went to a neighbor’s apartment in hopes of preventing a domestic violence situation. The suspect also went to the same apartment and shot the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

MILWAUKEE - Police were called to Sherman Boulevard and Fond du Lac Avenue just after 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, where a 17-year-old was hurt in a shooting near a funeral home where seven people were struck by gunfire on Sept. 30.
Officers focused their investigation outside the Serenity Funeral Home. Police said the boy was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening.

MILWAUKEE - Police are investigating a shooting that left three people injured near 24th Street and Fond du Lac Avenue shortly after 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 20.
Police say several individuals got into an argument when several shots were fired by multiple suspects.
A 39-year-old man from Milwaukee sustained serious injuries. He walked into the hospital for treatment and was listed in stable condition. A 33-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman from Milwaukee sustained non-life-threatening injuries and walked into the hospital for treatment.
