DA Techs, which offers diamond cut and painted alloy wheel refurbishment for both trade and private customers, has secured investment through a business support group to fund a move to larger premises, buy a new powder coating machine to speed up the repair process as well as supporting the development of specialist equipment. The Adlington-based firm has continued to invest in the business thanks to support from Access to Finance Lancashire (A2F Lancashire), funded by Lancashire County Council and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Once completed, the scheme will aim to protect over 150 homes and bushinesses in central Padiham as well as manage surface water risk on local highways. The Environment Agency said it will carry out the investigations including digging of trial pits and boreholes to identify foundations and underground services at sites across the town. This work is expected to last for around 8 weeks. This investigation work will allow the Environment Agency, Burnley Borough Council and other partners to anticipate any issues and plan effectively for the construction phase.
