Pegasus Senior Living Announces Acquisition of Brookdale Elk Grove and Brookdale Sterling Court Senior Communities in California

SACRAMENTO, CA - National operator Pegasus Senior Living is announcing its two newest communities this week, bringing the total number in the company s portfolio to 38. Formerly named Brookdale Elk Grove and Brookdale Sterling Court, the new communities names are Elk Grove Park and Sterling Court at Roseville, located in Elk Grove and Roseville. At the time, I was 27 years old, today I’m 77. Herman Baca In those 50 years, many persons I knew that marched in the Chicano Moratorium are no longer with us. In other words,  “An era is slowly, but surely coming to an end.” In 1970 unlike 2020 La Raza was a minute minority, known to U.S. institutions as the,  “Forgotten, silent & invisible minority,” today we number 70 million Chicanos/Mexicanos/Latinos. In 1970, thirty to forty thousand Chicanos from throughout the U.S. marched in the streets to protest and call for an end to the war in Vietnam. A war, like Afghanistan today, that was destroying our most precious legacy, our youth.

New South Wales to be battered with severe thunderstorms over the weekend

The wild weather hitting Australia s east coast is not over yet with New South Wales to feel the brunt of it on Friday night. Several weather warnings have been put in place for the state s north-east with meteorologists revealing there s a beautiful recipe for severe thunderstorms. Flash flooding, hail, damaging winds and a huge downpouring of rain are all on the cards for northern areas in NSW as well as the central coast and Sydney. Heavy rain will also be seen across the Northern Territory and northern Western Australia.  The wet weather comes after several days of wild rain on the east coast which saw homes and roads on the Gold Coast flooded and residents forced to evacuate.

The drenched east coast is in the middle of a huge weather event with severe weather warnings issued for much of Victoria, NSW and south-eastern Queensland on Thursday with up to 190mm of rain falling in some areas.  ADVERTISEMENT The eastern weather event has seen the Gold Coast lashed with the worst of the conditions with flooded  homes, roads and businesses, submerged cars and residents forced to evacuate.
