Prominent McLean County labor leader passes away at age 82 MCLEAN COUNTY (HOI) One of the county s most prominent labor leaders is being remembered for his many decades of community service. Ronn Morehead, who was president of the Bloomington and Normal Trades and Labor Assembly for 40 years, died Saturday morning.  He was 82. Starting as a construction laborer, Morehead helped workers during plant closings and layoffs, and created training opportunities for job retention.  He also supervised a summer youth employment program for many years. Morehead served on many communities, including the Illinois Special Olympics board, and he was one of the organizers of the annual children’s Christmas party for unemployed families.
