Cleanliness arrangements for Eid finalised July 19, 2021 Rawalpindi : The Rawalpindi District Administration has finalized all the arrangements under a special cleanliness program prepared for Eidul Azha while 3,539 workers would be deployed to ensure proper sanitation in Rawalpindi, Murree, Taxila, Kahuta, Kalar Syedan and Gujar areas during Eidul Azha holidays. According to the spokesperson for Commissioner Office, the administration on the directives of Commissioner Rawalpindi Division, Syed Gulzar Hussain Shah, has finalised all the arrangements and the holidays of all the staff of Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) had been cancelled. Total, 3539 workers will perform cleanliness duties in different shifts round the clock from Tuesday to third day of Eid ul Azha, she said and added that 3225 workers would be deployed in Rawalpindi and Murree while 314 workers would perform their duties in Taxi

Payment of salary to MCR staff before Eid in doubt July 13, 2021 Rawalpindi : The Metropolitan Corporation Rawalpindi (MCR) and Town Municipal Administrations (TMAs) are facing difficulties in all money related matters as banks refused to cash their cheques without house permission. This situation ran fear of stoppage of salaries among the MCR staff before Eidul Azha. The LHC (Rawalpindi Bench) had given stay orders on all matters and directed Punjab Chief Secretary, Commissioner Rawalpindi Division, Deputy Commissioner and MCR chief officer to appear in person in the court on July 14, 2021. The Mayor Rawalpindi Sardar Naseem Khan said that all activities after March 25 were illegal and unconstitutional, as the Supreme Court had ordered to restore local body system on March 25. Forest deptt to start plantation campaign July 13, 2021 Rawalpindi : Punjab Forest Department (Extension), Rawalpindi Division has all set to start a massive plantation campaign in all districts and tehsils of the division with a special aim to turn all public and private unproductive barren lands into forests with the active participation of land owners, says a press release.
