This move opened up 25 beds for those waiting in hospital emergency rooms.  The Department of Health has faced pressure to rapidly clear patients from emergency rooms after the New Hampshire Supreme Court ruled last month that psychiatric patients being held involuntarily in emergency rooms must be given a chance to contest their detention within three days of their arrival.
