A woman was murdered by her overbearing former husband in an attack so frenzied it dislodged part of her skull, after a long-running dispute over the division of marital property, a court has heard.
Balvinder Gahir - known as Bally - was beaten in a sustained assault in her bedroom at her home in Valley Road, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, in the early hours of August 24, 2020.
The 54-year-old s former spouse, Jasbinder Gahir, and the couple s 23-year-old son, Rohan Gahir, both of Church View, Maidenhead, are on trial accused of murder.
Both deny any wrongdoing.
The attack followed years in which Jasbinder Gahir had allegedly attempted to demonise Ms Gahir to her children, referring to her in messages as a psycho and wicked , Coventry Crown Court heard.
