NASSAU, Bahamas, May 19, 2021 /PRNewswire/ Baha Mar, the leading resort destination in The Bahamas, applauds the announcement by the Ministry of Tourism and Aviation that visitors traveling to The Bahamas who are fully vaccinated and have passed the two-week immunity period will be exempted from COVID-19 testing requirements for entry and inter-island travel. In support of this announcement, fully vaccinated guests checking in to Baha Mar s hotel brands – Grand Hyatt, SLS, and Rosewood Baha Mar – will not be required to take the Rapid Antigen test after check-in and can move freely throughout the resort destination immediately. Unvaccinated guests will continue to undergo a complimentary COVID-19 Rapid Antigen testing upon arrival to ensure health, safety and wellbeing of resort guests, visitors, and associates.

In March of this year, Baha Mar Resorts and Air Ambulance Worldwide developed a programme that ensured that American guests staying at any of the three properties situated in Nassau would be quickly and safely flown home to the US should they test positive upon their arrival. The three properties include the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, SLS Baha Mar and the Rosewood Baha Mar hotel.
The ‘Travel with Confidence’ programme was the first of its kind, conceived and implemented by a resort where the cost of the emergency Covid-19 repatriation was covered in the cost of the stay. Baha Mar has instituted some of the world’s most rigorous Covid-19 testing protocols in order to keep guests safe and their stay at the hotel worry-free.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS New Providence is set to be home to two water parks this summer as Baha Mar yesterday announced its planned debut of the new 15-acre Baha Bay.
The park is scheduled to open on July 2 with exclusive access to Baha Mar guests only; however, the resort announced public access and day passes are in the works to become available later on in the summer months.
A statement revealing Baha Mar’s plans and introducing the park noted: “Set within a breathtaking Bahamian backdrop, the new luxury beachfront water park will be the latest addition to Baha Mar’s spectacular guest amenities and unparalleled offerings.
