For more than 70 years, it was unknown by family where Cpl. Ralph Boughman s remains were located after he was killed in the Korean War fighting for his country in 1950.
Boughman, of Union, joined the U.S. Army in August 1948 at Fort Jackson in Columbia, inspired by his brothers military service in World War II. He was 19.
His journey had just begun. After finishing basic training, he was transferred to Fort Lawton in Seattle, Washington, and then to Japan for a year before heading to Korea.

Science teacher Stacy Grady is Delaware Valley High School’s Teacher of the Year. The announcement was made by Principal Adrienne Olcott at an online faculty meeting on Dec. 21.
Grady was selected by a panel of teachers, administrators and parents. In announcing the honor, Olcott told her, “You do so much for the school (and) you give so much to the students.” Her ability to keep students “focused and engaged,” was also praised.
