Ross Bennett is a 30-plus-year veteran of stand-up comedy who works 100 percent clean, and he will bring his signature show to the historic Milton Theatre at 8 p.m., Friday, April 30. Bennett has mentored comics like John Mulaney, and his DryBar comedy special has been viewed millions of times.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - After more than 5 years in business, carGO, a local rideshare and delivery service ceased operations today tonight at 6 p.m.
After a long day of deliveries and rides, Sara Eyler usually logs off the carGO App. After 3 years, she is signing off for the last time, and she still cannot believe it.
“Heartbreak, sorrow, just shock,” said Eyler.
Eyler said she has not only made lifelong friends, but she relied on carGO as her main income for years.
“With the coronavirus pandemic raging through much of 2020, we knew we would receive some exceptional entries, but we’ve been astounded by some of the things we have learned about the people of Gwent,” he said. “It’s been a distressing year and it’s heartening to see how so many have rallied round to help others.” He also paid tribute to people who have given their time and energy over many years to help make Gwent a better place. “The city of Newport and our towns and villages are full of unsung heroes,” he said. “We hope the Pride of Gwent Awards will shine a light on some of them.”
