Bradley Pedder, 38, pleaded guilty to the theft by housebreaking offence at The Fleet in Mason Wynd, Eyemouth, on November 20. Jedburgh Sheriff Court was told that at 12.40am police officers were in the area dealing with another enquiry when they heard repeated banging and an alarm going off. Connor Muir, prosecuting, said: They investigated a disturbance and found the pub window had been broken. They quickly came across the accused and he was found to have £13.51 on his person which had come from the public house.

A convicted sex offender wanted to buy a train ticket home but instead found his way back to prison.
Aiden Bremner, who previously lived in Wick, boarded a train to return to his new home in Mill Street, Dingwall in time to satisfy his curfew, Inverness Sheriff Court heard.
It had been imposed when he was released on licence two months earlier from an extended prison sentence of six years in September, 2019 for having sex with a 14-year-old girl.
