JRM has signed Daniel Hemric to pilot the team s car for most of the schedule, a total of 21 starts. Youngster Burton will take the wheel for 11 starts, and Earnhardt Jr. will get one start early in the season at Homestead. While there are three drivers for this team, it will mostly be an effort for Hemric. He comes over from the Cup Series last year in the RCR No. 8 Chevrolet. When Hemric last raced in the Xfinity Series he stacked up 16 Top-5 and 23 Top-10 finishes for old boss Richard Childress in 2018. The 28-year-old driver now has well over 100 combined starts in NASCAR s lower divisions. That experience will show in the No. 8 JRM Chevrolet Camaro.

NASCAR driver gives 10 small minority-owned businesses $10K grants

ATLANTA, Georgia (WGCL) Fiserv and Ross Chastain, driver of the No. 42 NASCAR Clover® Chevrolet, teamed up to present 10 local minority owned small businesses with $10,000 grants.
The event took place at Atlanta Motor Speedway and is part of the Fiserv Back2Business program designed to support minority-owned small businesses across the country as they recover from the pandemic.
In addition to financial support, grant recipients received access to complimentary business expertise and the popular Clover point-of-sale platform from Fiserv.
Fiserv sponsors the No. 42 NASCAR Clover Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE.
Chastain joined Chip Ganassi Racing representatives and Fiserv executives to present the grants to local small business owners at the event.

Atlanta Motor Speedway s rough surface produced an exciting finish for the NASCAR Cup Series earlier this season. Kyle Larson dominated the day by leading 269 laps, but he didn t have enough equipment left to hold off Ryan Blaney who made the pass and led the final nine laps to claim his only 2021 victory so far this season. The race featured just two unscheduled caution periods, which allowed the fastest cars to stretch their legs versus the competition. Fantasy players should expect something similar this week, as the series begins its return trips to many tracks as the regular season winds down to the start of the championship playoffs. With just six races to go before that battle gets underway, Kurt Busch holds the final transfer position with a 25-point gap back to Chris Buescher in 17th.

Let’s get your daily fantasy NASCAR DraftKings rosters ready for the Quaker State 400, airing on Sunday, July 11 at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network.
Atlanta is an abrasive track that causes tires to wear down quickly, so a repave was inevitable. However, the speedway will do a bit more than that for next year’s races. In case you missed it, Atlanta announced that it will not only repave the track after this weekend’s events, but also add banking and narrow the racing surface. Sunday’s Cup race will be the final one on this configuration, which definitely affects daily fantasy next year.
