LIVINGSTON, Mont. (AP) A freight train hit a semitractor-trailer at a crossing east of Livingston, killing both people in the cab of the semitractor, Park County officials said.
The crash happened just after 9 p.m. Sunday, Park Rural Fire District officials said. The collision, in which the tractor was separated from its trailer, sparked a fire that caused some damage to the BNSF Railway train cab and burned grass near the tracks.
The Montana Highway Patrol said the truck did not stop at a stop sign before attempting to cross the tracks, ABC Fox Montana reported.
